Paul The Plasterer ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal information you give us through this website. We're committed to keeping your data safe and only using it for the reasons you'd expect.
What we collect
When you fill in our callback form, quote request, or contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address (if you give it)
- The service you're interested in
- The details of your enquiry
- Technical metadata (your IP address and browser, logged automatically for spam prevention)
Why we collect it
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you book us, to deliver the work you've asked for. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it to third parties, and we do not share it with anyone outside our business except where strictly required (e.g. our accountant for invoiced jobs).
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are kept for 12 months in case you come back to us, then deleted. Records of completed jobs are kept for 6 years for tax and warranty purposes, as required by HMRC.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. Your browser may remember your dark-mode preference in local storage — that's stored on your device and never sent to us.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything wrong
- Ask us to delete your data ("right to erasure")
- Object to us processing your data
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
To exercise any of these, email info@paultheplasterer.co.uk or call 07771 625854 and we'll handle it within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything important about how we handle your data, we'll update this page and date it at the top. We won't change it retrospectively for data you've already given us.
