This depends on the size of the job. A small room can often be completed in a day, while a full property re-skim or external render might take several days to a couple of weeks. We will provide a clear time estimate with your quote.

Yes. Cleanliness is important to us. We use dust sheets, take care to protect your floors and furniture, and leave every site clean and tidy when we finish.

Skimming is a finishing technique that applies a thin smooth coat over an existing surface — usually old plaster or plasterboard — to create a flawless finish for painting. Plastering is the broader trade that includes skimming, two-coat float-and-set, rendering, repairs, ceilings, and decorative work.

Typically 3 to 7 days, depending on room temperature, humidity, and the type of plaster used. We will advise you on the exact drying time and when it is safe to decorate.

Wait until the plaster is completely dry — usually around 5 to 7 days. Then apply a mist coat (thinned emulsion) before your first proper coat of paint.
